Responsibilities:
Assist in Food Preparation: Help in the preparation of meals under the guidance of senior chefs, ensuring high-quality and timely service.
Maintain Kitchen Standards: Follow and uphold the kitchen's hygiene, safety, and quality standards at all times.
Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory, including checking stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
Cleanliness: Contribute to the cleanliness of the kitchen by cleaning equipment, utensils, and work areas.
Teamwork: Work cooperatively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service times.
Recipe Execution: Prepare dishes according to established recipes, maintaining consistency in flavor and presentation.
Requirements:
Culinary Education: Preferably with a culinary school background or equivalent experience.
Experience: Previous experience in a professional kitchen, ideally in a similar role on a cruise ship or in a high-volume restaurant.
Skills: Strong cooking skills with knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment, often under pressure.
Flexibility: Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Language: Basic English communication skills are necessary for international operations.
