International Ambassador
Contract : 6 months
Vacation : 2 months between contracts
As International Ambassador, you will manage the international program onboard the ship. You will interact with multilingual guests to provide language assistance and verbal translation to ensure they enjoy all aspects of the cruise experience.
- Serves as a host and/or translator for a variety of events or activities with a large number of non-English speaking guests
- Attends desk hours in designated areas. Provides a variety of translation and interpretation services for guests requiring language assistance. Answers inquiries, offers suggestions, and provides descriptive literature in various languages pertaining to shore excursions, onboard activities, entertainment, etc.
- Serves as translator for any and all departments when foreign language translation is needed
- Prepares a variety of reports and letters utilizing personal computer system and equipment
Age : at least 21 years old
Customer service experience utilizing multi-languages in a hospitality industry preferred / or cruise ship experience , similar position .
Language skills: English – advanced level (ability to speak, read, and write) – MANDATORY
Fluency in other 4 languages (ability to speak, read, and write) : German, Italian, French, Spanish , Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin etc - (assessment tests may be required).
Salary: fix monthly salary
Facilities on board : free of charge offered by the Company ( accommodation, meals, medical services )
Accommodation : shared cabin of two
Work schedule : 8 - 10 hours daily, free days by rotation in department
Job Cruise FEE : NO FEE for recruitment/ embarkation process
Embarkation costs : depending on ship/ itinerary ( medical files, required visas, flight ticket )
