de operare dar si a cerintelor sanitare.
Managerul este responsabil pentru siguranța
oaspeților și a echipajului care utilizează instalațiile. Managerul salvamar
este responsabil pentru formarea și certificarea salvamarilor, inainte de
atribuirea indatoririlor de serviciu.

specific, a certifica viitori salvamari, angajati ai companiei, doritori sa
activeze in departamentul de”LIFEGUARDING”
Managerul este responsabil pentru
deschiderea în condiții de siguranță și închiderea tuturor bazinelor, inspecția
zilnică a instalațiilor, raportarea problemelor de întreținere și coordonează
diverse activități cu echipe special pregatite pentru operatiuni de reparatie a
instalatiilor.

Position title: Lifeguard Manager

The Lifeguard Manager is directly responsible to manage all safety aspects of our recreational water facility operations (pools, water slides, Flowriders). The position manages the lifeguard program and will ensure all SQM standard operating procedures and USPH standards are met at all times. The manager is responsible for the safety of our guests and crew that utilizes the facilities; the lifeguard manager is responsible for the training and certification of any staff prior to be assigned to lifeguard staff & lifeguard supervisor duties. The Lifeguard Manager position is also responsible to identify, train and certify additional onboard candidates from various divisions that will be assigned to lifeguard duties as needed. The manager is responsible for the safe opening & closing of all pools, daily inspection of the facilities, reporting of maintenance issues and coordinates various activities with cross functional teams such as maintenance jobs. The lifeguard manager reports to the Chief Safety Officer shipboard, with a dotted line the Recreational Water Facilities Specialist shoreside under the marine department.

Key responsibilities:
Manages and coordinates performing
the following essential duties and responsibilities. All duties and
responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with Royal Caribbean International’s
Royal Way Experience, SQM standards, ILO standards, USPH standards, environmental
and safety policies. Each shipboard
employee may be required to perform all functions in various venues and
throughout the ship. In accordance with
Royal Caribbean International’s philosophy of Anchored in Excellence, each
employee conducts oneself in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
This consists of physical and verbal interactions with guests and/or fellow
shipboard employees.
Specific Duties:
1.
Daily inspection of all recreational water
facilities, reporting & follow-up of all maintenance jobs required.
2.
Ensures the open decks and attractions are maintained in a
clean and orderly fashion.
3.
Maintains a high degree of “floor presence” to observe operations
with strong focus on safety & security. Focus on lifeguard
staff rotations from pool to pool, children monitoring, interaction of lifeguard
staff with Guests, and enforcement of guest conduct policy.
4.
Safe & timely opening & closure of
pools (USPH standards, lifeguard staff on duty prior to opening)
5.
Attend the daily Hotel Director meeting as
required for proper coordination of lifeguard staff schedules in relation to
cruise compass activities & maintenance jobs for the following days.
6.
Identify, train, certify and verify all
employees prior to assigning them to
lifeguard staff & supervisor position / duties
7.
Engages Guest Services & Human Resources
Managers for staff training needs towards engaging guests in a friendly and
confident manner, as it relates to safety, guest conduct policy and problem
resolution.
8.
Develop training & work schedules for
related employees that will comply with ILO policy.
9.
Coordinate staffing needs, sign on and off
with shoreside scheduler.
10.
Coach, train & conduct performance appraisals
for all lifeguard staff & lifeguard supervisors per SQM policies.
11.
Manages budget assigned under the guidance
of the Chief Officer Safety/ Staff Captain.
12.
Maintain / timely order of supplies and
equipment related to the Lifeguard Program.
13.
Timely review & resolution of guest
comments / complaints from Medalia & guest log on a daily basis.
14.
Understand the working of the Lifeguard
Portal to assist with the tracking of lifeguard information.
15.
Ensure required aquatic safety checklists
are complete and signed.
16.
Generate, maintain and distribute relevant
reports as per SQM.
17.
Conduct weekly physical inspection of all
lifeguard staff & supervisor issued equipment.
18.
Responsible to collect all lifeguard staff
& supervisor issued equipment the day prior to employee signing off and
issue related equipment to incoming staff.
19.
Work with the shipboard Human Resources
Manager to identify future shipboard candidates for the position of Lifeguard
Staff & Supervisors and enroll them for relevant training.
20.
Prepare hand-over notes and send notes to
incoming Manager’s email address 7 days prior to sign off date.
21.
The position should always focus on ways to
improve guest & crew safety on open decks and make recommendations to the
Chief Officer Safety for possible implementation.
22.
Shares best practices with Sport Managers,
peers on other ships and to the RWF Specialist shoreside.
23.
Responsible to coordinate their own licenses
renewal in a timely fashion (lifeguard & instructor licenses)
24.
Participate to all audits pertaining to the
lifeguard program and RWF related USPH inspections.
25.
Coordinate all communication related to
training, shipboard visits and SOP’s.
26. Monitors contractors
performing maintenance and safety audits to ensure safety standards are met.
27.
Attends scheduled social functions creating visibility and
awareness with the guests.
28.
Attend emergency duties / drills as assigned
in the ship Emergency Plan.
29.
Performs other related duties as

Qualifications:

Minimal
Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in a
related field from an accredited university, college or the international
equivalent. Alternatively 3 year industry experience will be considered.

Years experience licensed lifeguard from a recognized national or international
organization such as Red Cross, IAM StarGuard ELITE or JEM preferred.

3
years Management as a Lifeguard Instructor or Swimming Instructor or in Sports
education field preferred.
·
Required
to attend the USPH & SPT courses within 90 days in the position.
·
Outstanding
verbal & written communication skills.
·
Ability
to develop & build solid working relationship across multiple diverse cross
functional teams.

Working
knowledge of computers, internet access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.

Aptitude
in math, ability to read a financial report and manage a budget effectively.

Language Requirements:

Physical Requirements:
·
Must
be physically fit and able bodied enough to be trained as a Lifeguard.
·
Successfully
complete company’s lifeguard training and earn a license, complete the physical
requirements of the Swim Test
·
Demonstrate
the ability to swim 50 meters using freestyle or breaststroke without rest or
touching the pool bottom, retrieve a 10 lb. weight from the deepest part of the
pool and tread water for 1 (one) minute without use of hands.

Must
be able to stand in the sun and endure external elements during work
assignment.

While
performing the duties of this job, the shipboard employee is regularly required
to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms;
talk or hear. Specific vision abilities
required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

All
shipboard employees must be physically able to participate in emergency
lifesaving procedures and drills. Full use and range of arms and legs as well

Intr-o zi de lucru exista in mod normal minim 3 pauze.
Timpul
de lucru este foarte atent monitorizat la bordul unei nave de croaziera, prin
metode de pontaj electronic. Se poate efectua munca suplimentara doar la
cererea expresa a managementului, in acest caz intervalul lucrat suplimentar
fiind compensat cu timp liber echivalent sau fiind platit.
Cabinele ofera un confort decent pentru doua persoane, sunt echipate cu instalatie de aer conditionat, TV, acces internet( contra cost), baie.
La bordul unei nave de
croaziera exista diverse modalitati de recreere si facilitati oferite in mod
gratuit echipajului: bar, zona de recreere, internet café, biblioteca, sala de
fitness, piscina echipajului (pe unele nave).
Pentru anumiti membri ai
echipajului (ofiteri de rang superior, pozitii manageriale si membri ai
staff-ului), pot exista si privilegii suplimenatare (acces in anumite zone
destinate pasagerilor), intre anumite ore.
Pot
exista zile libere prin rotatie, chiar si de 24 de ore, insa acestea raman la
latitudinea managementului, NEEFIND GARANTATE PRIN CONTRACT. In mod normal, o
zi libera tipica la bordul unei nave este echivalentul a unei zile de port
libere, existand totusi cateva ore de munca.
Costurile de imbarcare pot fi diferite, functie de pozitia de aplicare, sau portul de imbarcare. Se recomanda detinerea unui buget care sa acopere urmatoarele cheltuieli:
estimativ : 70- 200 euro pentru imbarcari in porturi europene
estimativ: 500-700 euro pentru imbarcari in porturi non-europene.
